Episode 259 Hidden Figures
Rare is the Hollywood film that appeals to the whole family. From grandparents to grandchildren, everyone will find something good in Hidden Figures. The story is about a group of African-American women who work for NASA during the Space Race. The U.S. is in competition with Russia to put a man in orbit, and the most valuable contributors to the mathematics of it all are women treated like second-class citizens. They are true underdog heroes and their efforts make for an engaging story. Andrew and Phil hold hope for future PG-rated films as being as high caliber as this mainstream fare.
